Warranty Information

WARRANTY POLICY

All warranty claims must be pre-arranged by contacting us first.

If you believe the product you have purchased warrants a claim, please contact our Customer Service team via email at sales@reboot-it.com.au for Return Authorization.

All refurbished equipment supplied by Reboot IT is covered by a limited warranty  beginning on the purchase date indicated on your invoice. If we replace a warranted product or any part(s), the warranty period will not be extended.

An extended limited warranty is available at an additional cost and expires 1 year from the purchase date indicated on your invoice. Like the standard warranty, the period of the extended warranty will not be extended if we replace a warranted product or any part(s).

THE WARRANTY COVERS:

Only those items specifically described as having a warranty period are covered by the Reboot-IT warranty. Items described as “AS IS” or “PARTS ONLY” are explicitly excluded from any warranty.

This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in the hardware products sold by Reboot-IT on a part-by-part basis.

THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

Consumable parts of the item being sold (e.g., laptop batteries). Batteries are tested to hold a charge, but as they are used, Reboot IT cannot promise or commit to a minimum battery discharge/run time. Batteries will be replaced if found to be non-functional (i.e., do not hold any charge) and the fault is reported within the first seven days after purchase.

Items damaged in transit.

Defects and malfunctions resulting from viruses, lock-ups, general protection faults, or operating system errors.

Compatibility problems - it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the purchased item will be compatible with their existing hardware and systems.

Any defects or damage as a result of using this item in a manner other than its intended or customary use.

Any defects or damage caused by abnormal use conditions, improper storage, exposure to moisture or dampness, unauthorized modifications, unauthorized connections, unauthorized repair, neglect, abuse, accident, alteration, improper installation, including damage caused by freight, blown fuses, electrical fluctuations, spills of food or liquid, or any other acts not attributable to Reboot-IT.

Breakage or damage to the casing.

All plastic surfaces and all other externally exposed parts that are scratched or damaged due to normal customer use.

Consumable components of the item.

Items with removed or illegible serial numbers.

Damage resulting from the use of non-standard accessories.

Items that have been damaged in transit on return to Reboot-IT.

Items where the security seal has been removed or tampered with in any way.

This limited warranty grants you specific legal rights. Other rights may vary from state to state (or jurisdiction to jurisdiction). Reboot IT’s responsibility for malfunctions and defects in hardware is limited as set forth in this warranty statement. All express and implied warranties for the product, including but not limited to any implied warranties and conditions of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in time to the term of the limited warranty period set forth herein. No warranties, whether express or implied, will apply after the limited warranty period has expired. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.
