If you are after a sturdy reliable laptop you cannot go wrong with a Lenovo ThinkPad. Lenovo make the following series laptops:

What refurbished Lenovo laptop is best for me?
A good general rule of thumb when purchasing any laptop is to try and future proof yourself as much as your budget will allow.

Lenovo Laptops for students and studying
In our refurbished laptop range, we would suggest an X-series Lenovo being X230, X240, X260,X270 or X1 carbon. X-series Lenovo laptops are thin, light, and small which is ideal if you are carrying a laptop to a from school or university every day.

Portable is the priority here as most of the X-series aside from the X1 Carbon have smaller 12.5” screens.

If you are studying in a creative field, you will want to look at the Lenovo Yoga series which are 2-in-one laptop/tablet providing touch screen and stylus functionality.

Lenovo Laptops for work
The perfect laptop for work is a no brainer, it is the T-series. The T-series are the top of the line ThinkPad designed for business use. With larger 14” to 15” screen and keyboard they offer the user more of a desktop experience.

They are suitable for long periods of typing and have a reputation for being solid reliable workhorses.

If you need a laptop for design work, then the W or P series is your best choice. These are a workstation class of Lenovo ThinkPad’s and have larger screens 15-17”, high resolution screens and dedicated graphics cards.

The T-series do weigh more due to their screen size, but a good compromise is the X1 Carbon Ultrabook’s which provide both the larger 14” screen, larger keyboard but are very thin and light. Typically they are harder to upgrade so best to purchase one with the specifications you require not one you want to upgrade later.

Lenovo Laptops for home
We would also recommend the T-series ThinkPad’s for home for much the same reason as for work. Your home laptop does not have to be as portable, so can be larger and heavier. Generally these devices need to cater for people who are doing more typing, so a larger keyboard makes that a bit easier.

The T-Series ThinkPad laptops also have more ports so attaching devices such as monitors, keyboards, mice, and other USB devices are more easily accommodated.
